Yosemite, July 2004

One of my high school friends was stationed out in California for a couple of months doing research, and I had the good fortune to talk him into a weekend excursion to Yosemite. I do need to get back to Yosemite more often as it had been a couple of years since my last excursion. We stayed at the Tamarack Flat campground and did a day hike to the mouth of the Yosemite valley. The next day we went to the valley floor and hiked around. I was once again awestruck as I hiked in a place so beautiful. The Sierras are truly a magnificient place. Hopefully they are beautiful enough to get my friend to start loving them as well.

The Photographs

These photographs were taken with my Minolta system using a roll of Kodachrome PKR64 and a roll of Scala 200. This was also my first trip where I was accompanied by an RF 250mm lens. After having tried to photograph Yosemite many times in the past, I think this time I finally got a couple that really capture the aura of that place. Click on "Next" in the upper right to begin.
