Ryan's Jersey Wedding

July 2005

One of my good friends had the wonderful fortune to meet a great girl and they got married! At one of their wedding receptions, I whipped out a couple of my cameras to take some pictures. I'd hoped to get some time to shoot more pictures, but I was occupied with wedding party duties (and a bottle of vodka...or two...) so time was precious little. Some of them worked, some of them didn't, but I got a couple of good portraits and some different abstract shots of various things that caught my eye.

The Photographs

These photographs were taken with my Minolta system using two bodies. Color pictures were on an SRT 100 using Kodachrome PKL 200 film and a Varisoft lens. Black and white was off of an SRT Super body using Scala film with a 58/1.2 lens. This was really my first time playing with portrature in a long time, and the first time I'd played with the Varisoft with anythign other than landscapes. Not all of the pictures worked, of course, but there are one or two nifty ones in the bunch. Click "Next" in the upper right to begin.
