Rockies 2000
In the summer of 2000, my friend and I got together for another long road trip. Having seen the north the year before, we decided to go up through the southern Rockies. We drove on through Arizona, stopping by Petrified Forest NP, and into northern New Mexico. After spending some time around the Carson NF by Philmont, we headed on into Colorado. This was my first time seeing the gorgeous mountains of Colorado. We drove through a number of parks in Colorado before heading out into Utah and passing by the Grand Canyon on the way back. This trip through the southern Rockies was the next step in developing a severe addiction for roadtripping through the Western US.
