Lassen Volcanic National Park
We re-entered California and sped towards Lassen Volcanic National Park. This was my second trip to the park, and this time I camped there and got to drive around again along the road widing up and over Lassen Peak. Until Mt. St. Helens erupted, this park was the site of the most recent volcanic explosion in the lower 48 states. It stlil has active hot spots combined with a gorgeous Northern California mountain landscape. Last time I was here I didn't get a chance to spend too much time in the park. While this time I wasn't in Lassen too long either, I did manage to photograph many of the places where I had run out of film on the previous trip.
