Los Padres NF, Santa Cruz Trail, 2010

Over Memorial Day a couple of good friends came to my place for a visit. We wanted to take a day and go out hiking, so I thought the Santa Cruz trail would be a nice excursion. It was a bit warm outside, but I got out in my five fingers and trudged along. I was the slow one in the bunch, not all that surprising, but there were some beautiful sets of poppies and yucca flowers out. Between the gorgeous meadows and vistas I'm amazed at how long it's been since I've been back on this trail!
