Crater Lake NP 2000

Back in June of 2000, Kevin, Kip and I decided to go on a wild road trip. With Kevin's blue pickup, a bottle of port, and the rambunctious traveler, we headed up north on the 101 on our way to Crater Lake. We drove up the Klamath river around the walnut creek area and saw some gorgeous forest. We finally made it up to Crater Lake. This was the first time I'd seen this beautiful park. It was still snowed in so we couldn't drive around, but we walked along some of the cleared out roads. The water was this deep azure blue, and the snow all around made for a beautiful sight. I've been back to crater lake since, but there's something about that first time in winter that is still so unique.
